Youth in Foster Care

Did you know there are around 6,000 children in the foster care system throughout Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas County, Florida?

So many times, these youth age out of foster care without proper financial support or emotional support.

By age 26, less than 4% of youth who aged out of foster care earn a college degree.

One in five of aged-out foster youth will become homeless after turning 18.

Only half will obtain employment by 24.

ASK works to make safe, stable and independent a reality for these youth as they transition to adulthood. We provide counseling, empowerment, and sustainability while engaging with the community through mentorship, mastership, and management programs.
